Friday Night Fights returned to the Broad Street Ballroom, Friday, February 28th, 2014. Karl Roberson, Killer B Combat Sports Academy fighter and boxing coach, stepped into the ring for his 2nd amateur Muay Thai fight ever. His opponent was 6’2, 223 lb, Simon Camaj. Simon came into this with an impressive record of 22 wins with 3 losses. Karl stepped on the scales at 210 lbs and a record of 1 win 0 losses in Muay Thai. To be fair, Karl has a Boxing record of 2 wins 2 losses and MMA record of 2 wins no losses.

Karl went to work quickly scoring with big kicks and slick boxing. I don’t think Camaj was prepared for the variety of attacks and speed Karl brought to the ring. Karl slowly dismantled Camaj over 3 rds. In the 4th, Karl landed a knockdown with a strong left hook. Camaj was able to recover in 8 but was swarmed by Karl who impressively won by TKO in the 4th.

Congratulations to Karl on a big win against an opponent who on paper was a huge favorite.
